Design system · v1.0 · Paper, ink, one red pen
01 - Principles

The document is the interface.

Paper, ink, one red pen.

Warm paper grounds, near-black ink, and a single signal red used the way an adjuster fears it: to mark what's wrong. Amber is the highlighter. Nothing else.

Declarative type. No hype.

Headlines are short imperative sentences. Evidence is set in mono, like the documents it comes from. We state; we never exclaim.

Precision is the personality.

Hairline rules, square corners, aligned numerals. David beats Goliath with a well-organized file folder, not a louder voice.

02 - Color tokens

Restraint, then signal.

Red is rationed. It appears as the primary action, the verdict, and the annotation - never as decoration. Every text/ground pair above meets WCAG AA at its used size.

03 - Type

Four voices, strict jobs.

Bricolage Grotesque speaks for us. Public Sans does the reading work. Courier Prime is the voice of documents and evidence. Newsreader italic is reserved for the words of real policyholders.

Your insurer cited Section 4(b) to deny water damage from a burst pipe. Section 4(b) excludes gradual seepage - not sudden discharge. That distinction is worth $23,400, and it fits in one paragraph.
